Next H.A.R.P. Meeting at The Grog

After a very lively Christmas party at The Grog, we are planning our schedule for the new year.

For January, we are going to return to our same format of two sets of "standards" for which anyone is welcome to come and play but we request that you let us know in advance if you are interested. Of course all are welcome to come and listen (the food and drink at The Grog are also well worth it). 

For February 18th, we are planning a special format entitled "Jimmy Reed: Blues Legend." It will be a mixed program with slides 'n songs chronicling his life and times as well as his music. Without a doubt his influence on modern music - especially blues and rock - is far greater than that of many of the better known artists such as Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, or Sonny Boy I or II.

Our set list will include all of his top hits (his top 11 songs) and more. If you are an intermediate player or above and would like to perform, please contact me or Fred. The February 18th meeting will also start at 7pm.
