H.A.R.P. Club Jam - New Format

We had our last jam at The Twisted Tail and we had a great time although the turnout was not what we had hoped. The Twisted Tail is a wonderful venue and I hope that we can go back in the future but for now we are going to stay at The Grog.

Since the turnout has been low we are going to change the format somewhat. 

We are going to play there as we have been on the 3rd Tuesday of the month but it will be by invitation only.

In December we are playing at a private Christmas party and are not looking to have any members. So don't plan on coming.

In January, we are starting a new format whereby we will focus on a different "Blues Harp Legend" for the first set each month. This set will include some discussion of the featured artist, his style, a brief bio, etc. interspersed with approximately 6-8 songs either written by or associated with the featured artist. If you want to perform one please e-mail me or Fred with the song(s) you would like to do. The second set will be open. We will have a set list but players can do additional songs and anyone can solo on any of these songs. Again, if you want to play in either set (or both) let us know and we will see if it will work out. 

In January we plan to feature Jimmy Reed for the first set and in February Slim Harpo. Little Walter is tentatively scheduled for March.
